"I did not purchase Smart Tendon to assist with tendon issues, though I am sure it is great with that as well. I actually ordered it because of the Silica content. It was suggested by my vet that I find something that has this ingredient to assist my horse who has severe side and ringbone. My horse should have been a lawn ornament; instead he is an upper level dressage horse thanks to Smart Tendon. Worth every penny and than some. You can't go wrong with this product if your horse has any bone issues."

"My 16 y.o. gelding suffered a severe lower tendon strain in his left hind leg while playing in the pasture a few months ago. His leg became so swollen it was 3 times it's normal size and very painful for him to walk on. EVERYTHING the vet recommended was not working: cold hosing, poultices, wraps, and bute. When the bute began giving my horse gastrointestinal problems resulting in weight loss from an appetite loss, I knew I needed to try something different. I added SmartTendon to his regular joint supplement and within ONE WEEK his leg was back to normal size and he was running around on it again! The vet was astounded at such quick results. I will keep my horse on SmartTendon for the rest of his life!! Thank you so much for making such a wonderful product!!"

"this product is miraculous!!! my 24 yr. old gelding has a supspensory ligament injury that he got last year. He has had stall rest, leg wraps, bute, etc. everything that the vet ordered to no avail. I tried smart tendon and OMG, the difference in two weeks was amazing. He no longer drags his hind leg, isn't gimpy when he first comes out of the stall in the morning and I am now starting to ride him again (small, easy rides of course). Even the sparkle is back in his eyes. I will definitely continue to us Smart Tendon."

"I'm using this for a young gelding with suspensory desmitis. I've been using it for about four months, and it's really hard to say if it's doing anything. It's reasonably-priced enough that I'm willing to keep him on it in case it is actually helping, but if it cost much more, I'd probably take him off it. The vet said it couldn't hurt. My horse does like the taste, but in fairness, I haven't found anything he doesn't like yet, so he may not be the best example as a taste-tester."

"My paint gelding had a bad couple of years, and in 2007 had to have surgery to remove part of a splint bone, during the operation, they found the suspensory legiment was actually adhered to the splint bone! So the recovery from a routine surgery was more extensive. The vet told me to expect residual swelling for at least the first year to to avoid hard ground. I put him on smart tendon in 2008 and was impressed with the lack of swelling we were getting after being stalled overnight. During the 2009 show season, he was on smart tendon constantly, and made it through the entire year with no lameness and swelling. He's now turned out, doing fine, but will be back on Smart Tendon when he comes in to get ready for next season!"

"Our 54.3 inch quarter pony hurt her tendon and and ligiment in early July. We didn't find this product until about a month ago. So, we just put her on it and she eats it right down. She has been staying sound so far, we of course aren't working her too hard just taking it nice and slow. The vet said she should be just fine to show next year. We are happy about that!!"

"I have two horses on Smart Tendon for only two weeks now. Although I have not seen a big difference, I do think I am seeing a slight change. It might just be all in my head, but I am keeping a close eye on the performance of these two horses at home & away from home. One is elderly& one is mid age. I am very curious to see which horse it helps first & which horse it helps the most."

"Smart tendon is supposed to be a supplement to support tendons especially in growing horses. I have been feeding it to my 2 year old Oldenburg and cannot tell if it has made a difference. I will probably never know, however, I feel it is worth the investment in his future. Smart tendon is totally palatable - I mix it with some sweet feed and he gobbles it all up."

"September of 2008, my wonderful 16 year mare, PK Boo tore her suspensory ligament on both branches and her superficial digital flexor tendon. After the initial shock wore off I immediately put her on both the Ligament and Tendon supplements. With the help of the SmartPak supplements, my incredible barn managers, fellow boarders, my chiropractor, Dr. Anna Crane and Dr. Amy Eggleston, PK Boo was CLINICALLY SOUND in March of 2009, just 6 MONTHS after the initial injury.

Today, she is rehabbing well, is going to move on to a career in Dressage and will never be off her SmarkPak tendon or ligament supplements! These supplements gave PK Boo what she needed to heal strong and healthy. They are an absolute must both as prevention and as part of a post injury treatment plan. I am thrilled!

"My gelding tore his superficial digital flexor in March. I went with the stem cell treatment and asked my vet about supplements and suggested this one in particular. He said 'it couldn't hurt'. Now my vet is calling my horse a miracle child because he was completely sound after only 1 month. We're carrying out all of the rehab but he hasn't put a foot down wrong since April. Definitely worth it!"

"I am extremely pleased with this product. My horse caught his leg in a fence about 4 months ago, pulling a suspensory and partially rupturing an extensor tendon. I got him started on this product almost immediately, and followed vet's advice to a tee. His latest ultrasound last week showed a complete and correct heal of both issues, and now it's just a slow return to work! My vet has commented several times that my horse is healing well and ahead of schedule. I am completely convinced that SmartTendon played a roll in his recovery, and I will probably keep him on it for the rest of his life."

"My horse pulled his suspensory and nothing seemed to help. I found this in the catalog and ordered right away. I'm so glad I did. After a few weeks my horse started collicking from being inside too much so I called the vet. He looked at his leg after helping him with the collick and said it was completely healed. This is the best supplement I've ever found and completely worth it!"

"I'm a huge fan of the tendon repair supplement but when my horse was diagnosed as Insulin Resistant, I switched to this supplement because it did not contain glucosamine. I'm having a hard time convincing my horse to eat this one; for some reason the taste doesn't appeal to him. I'm hoping the pelleted version might be tastier!"
